Tina: Christmas used to be my favorite time of year. But right now i Feel terribel.

Natalie:No wonder. it's your first Christmas away from home. And mine.

Tina:What do you miss most about Christmas back in America, Natalie?

Natalie: I miss lots of things- the Christmas Music, The colored lights, the decorations, the parties, the snow. But most of all, I miss my family.

Tina: Me,too. There'snothing beetter than being with family at Christmastime.

Natalie: At least your brother is here with you.

Tina: That's true. I'm really glad about it, too. Tyler can be a nuisance sometimes. But at this time of year, it"s great to have him around.

Natalie: Speaking of Tyler, where is he? I thought he was coming over.

Tina: He should be here soon. He said he needed to do a little shopping first.

Natalie: I hope he'll like the gift we bought for him.

Tina: I'm sure he'll love it. He's always wanted a good camera. And here in Taiwan, There are lots of interesting things to photograph.

(Tyler soon arrives, carrying a large shopping bag. He joins the girls in the living room.)

Tyler:It's sure hot outside today!

Natalie: I know. it doesn't feel like Christmas at all.

Tina: it doesn't look like Christmas, either. Outside or inside. We don't even have a Christmastree.

Tyler: You should go downtown. I was just there. Some of the big stores are nicely decorated for Chrismas. You might even see Santa Claus.

Tina: We know, Ty. It just isn't thesame as back home.

Tyler: Of course it isn;t the same. This is Taiwan!

Tina:So what's in the bag, Tyler?

Tyler: Oh, just a few little things for you and Natalie.

Natalie: How sweet! Thank you, Ty.

Tyler: You're welcome. But there's more. I have a very special surprise for you. I'll go get it. (he gets up and leaves)

Natalie: I wonder what he's up to? And I wonder what he bought for me?(looks in bag)

Tina: No peeking, Natalie!

Natalie: Don't worry. They're all wrapped. Look.(holds one package up)

Tina: Wow! He did a nice job!

Natalie: He did, didn't he?

(Tyler soon returns,carrying a couple of big boxes.)

Tina:What`s in those boxes,Ty?

Tyler:Here,take a look.

Natalie:(looking in one of the boxes)Tina! It`s full of Christmas decorations!

Tina:Tyler,where did you get all this stuff?

Tyler:From my place. It was in a CLOSET.I`m sure Mr.Larsen won`t mind if we use it.

Tina:Great!Let`s PUT it UP right away!

Tyler:You two get started.I`ll go get the Christmas treee.

Tina:There`s a Christmas tree,too? Fantastic!

(Tina,Tyler and Natalie enjoy decorating the apartment.Then they relax with cups of coffee)

Tina: The place sure looks different now!

Natalie:It sure does.And i feel a lot less homesick.

Tyler:How about putting all the presents under the tree?

Natalie:Sure,Ty.(hands him a present)Don`t drop this one. It`s for you.

Tyler:For me? Thank you!

Tina:Thank you. You`ve made our first Taiwan Christmas much nicer.

Tyler:And you`ve made my Taiwan Christmas possible. I woulen`t be here without you.So, I `d like to propose a toast.(lifts his coffee cup) To Tina,Natalie and apartment 203!
